During the Mozarabic period, the abundance of water meant that there was a fuente (fountain), for every 20 houses. This particular example consists of a small fountain set against a terrace wall, with a stone basin and base. It is located at the top of the road providing access to the old Era de La Platera threshing floor, which gives the fountain its name.
